The story of people from Noen Maprang district, Phitsanulok province, Thailand who protected their home town from a gold mining by using a community led health impact assessment process or CHIA.
The result of CHIA study found that their hometown is the treasure of the nation because this area plenty of mango farms and rice farms which can take care many farmers and families. There are historical lime stone mountain ranges, attractive waterfalls and cave and mountain for tourism. If those are destroyed, many people in this area will effected so they rise up protect their hometown, and life and draw their future by themselves.
