In health assembly (english version)
The establishment of the national health assembly is still new to several countries, although the World Health Organisation (WHO) began the World Health Assembly in Switzerland’s Geneva since 1948.



In Thailand, the Act states that the national health assembly is designed as an instrument as well as a learning process to develop participatory public polices on health and pushing for practicability. No matter the state agencies nor civil societies implement the said public policies, the benefit dwells in people,



The Act puts the health assemblies into three categories as follows;

1. The area-based health assembly

The location is the key. The area-oriented assemblies include a provincial and regional level as well as a river basin.



2. The issue-based health assembly

The establishment is based on certain issue such as chemical in agriculture, water management, social well-being and youth.



The first two assemblies are held by general public, civic networks, and

multilateral parties under the support of the NHCO.



3. The national health assembly

The NHC is responsible for holding the assembly once a year in order to advance the public policies on health at national and local levels. The organizing committee appointed by NHC handles the organization and draws up systemized regulations to pave a way for greater acceptance and participation.



The efficiency and continuity of three health assemblies plays a vital role in improving the health system up to date.
